Circular economy is a regenerative economic model in which raw materials return to the natural cycle or the productive cycle.
The CO2 emissions generated in the transformation of products can also return to the natural cycle (biomass retention) or the productive cycle (chemical or construction product, etc.).
In the LIFE CO2IntBio project, the gases from a power plant that produces heat and electricity from biomass (renewable source), are captured, purified and reused as raw material that return to the productive cycle.
In addition to being an example of industrial integration, it creates synergies between the industries involved, making their processes more efficient and sustainable.
