LIFE CO2IntBio is participating in the 19th European Week of Regions and Cities #EURegionsWeek on 11 October.
The team will hold a seminar: ‘Our Forests, Our Future’, which will set out how the project is an innovative model of forest biomass management, climate mitigation and the circular economy.
LIFE CO2IntBio has set out to transform CO2 emissions from biomass powerplants into new products. It is also enhancing the potential of forests to mitigate climate change.
The seminar will look at the role of Europe's forests in achieving climate targets and supporting a fair and inclusive recovery. It will be moderated by a representative of ERIAFF, the European Regions Network for Innovation in Agriculture, Food and Forestry. Four European regions will present examples of inter-regional collaboration, as well as innovative ideas related to the use of their forests and their resources: (North Portugal, Silesia (Poland), North Karelia (Finland) and Castilla y León (Spain).
The European Week of Regions and Cities will take place from 11 October to 14 October 2021. The slogan for this 19th edition is ‘Together for recovery’. Discussions will centre around four themes: cohesion, green transition, digital transition, and citizens´ engagement.
